You are doing GREAT, Gearhead Mama. No doubt about it. You'll get through this soon, and in the meantime, all of the questioning is normal, and it is a sign of a truly good mother- you don't take anything for granted and care immensely about the way you do things. Stick with it, do what works and what you are comfortable with, and of course, cry as much as you need to. You'll get through this soon.

i, too, hope you both pull through soon.
sending you love,

I know you are trying to go non-meds but if it helps her feel better, helps you get some rest and sleep, a temporary pharmaceutical fix is worth it. Jude's been on zantac for 3 months (AFTER trying elimination to little effect) and it helped IMMENSELY when combined with my total elimination diet. Interestingly, I just had a visit to the allergist, and he had to be off the zantac for 24 hours beforehand. He had no symptoms while off of it (a month ago we ran out for 1.5 days and he was MISERABLE). I tentatively sampled some real food, and have been eating normal and he's been unmedicated for 4 days now. Things are fine. In the grand scheme, I think a couple months of medication was worth it.

Oh, sweetie, I'm so sorry you and Sophie are going through this. It's just not fair, is it? I wish I were closer so I could take the girls and you could get some sleep.

I certainly can't offer you any suggestions, since Henry still kicks me and thrashes a lot in the night, and we've tried eliminating everything under the sun, too. (((HUGS)))
