When I started this blog, I had lots of ideas for posts, but no ideas for names. I didn’t want that to hold me back, so I plunged forward with what I considered to be at best a mediocre title. My husband accused me of being sarcastic, but the “I know, you’ve heard it all before” part was simply meant to imply that all parents have had the same or similar experiences, and if I can’t present them in an interesting or humorous manner, then there’s really no point to the whole thing.
After many months of wracking my brain, I finally arrived at a much improved name (in my oh so humble opinion). It marries the two occupations I’ve undertaken as an adult – engineer and mother. And while who I am is by no means summed up by those two things, anything more and it really starts to become a mouthful.
And thus, a new name is born. My long term plan is a matching URL and a different template, but life is not allowing for that right now. I’ve decided to implement the name change, and phase in other changes as time permits.
